SEEING THE GOOD IN YOU
Saturday 10th February 2018
1pm - 4pm
Old Bakery Studios - Truro
When you start to see all the good there is in you, you can more easily be courageous and take on challenges in your life.
It's too easy to get caught up in what we don't like about ourselves isn't it? Well, this workshop will help you to think differently. This relaxed, playful and creative session will guide you in appreciating your quiet strengths and discovering your core values, so that you can see yourself in a whole new light.
QUIETENING YOUR INNER CRITIC
Tuesday 23rd January 2018
6pm - 8pm
Old Bakery Studios - Truro
Are you full of self-doubt? Are you your own worst critic? If you’ve been feeling like you’re not good enough, you’ll quickly learn that you’re not alone in this workshop.
Find out how quietening your inner critic with self-compassion can actually help you to move forward more successfully in life. We’ll explore what self-compassion looks and feels like and why this is important in feeling confident and being courageous in life. You'll learn how it's easier to get through tough situations with a little self-compassion, and how filling your own reservoir of self-compassion actually means you can be kinder to other people. You’ll also take away new ways to be more compassionate towards yourself.
TIME TO TALK ABOUT THE QUIET STUFF...
Thursday 1st February 2018
National #TimeToTalk Day
12pm - 3pm
Cornwall College, Camborne Campus
With Quiet Connections and Time To Change
We're very pleased to announce that The New Day Knitwear Project will be joining Quiet Connections and Time To Change at their event on #TimeToTalk day.
Relax with Stacie in making mindful & playful pom pom keyrings, or get creative with some colouring whilst enjoying some homebaked cakes and treats.
We're sharing what it’s like to feel socially anxious, shy and not good enough and how the people that feel this way would like to be supported. You can help grow our Tree of Hope and graffiti on our Worry Wall, sharing those things we don't often talk about so others don't feel so alone.
Team Quiet and the Time to Change Champions will be there to share their personal experiences and explain what support is available and you’ll hear from Cornwall College students who feel this way too…
We’re asking students to get creative and express their experiences in our Time to Talk competition. This could be a poem, a video, a visual representation, or even a game that could be played by others.
This event is welcoming to anyone and everyone of all ages.
